What you need to know
Getting to Dalyan
Dalyan’s nearest airport is Dalaman, about 25 mins drive away. Direct flights are available from a number of UK airports, including Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester and there are regular Turkish Airlines flights to Dalaman if you want to spend time there as well. Various charter flights are available from April to October including EasyJet, Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomson and Onur Air.
When you arrive
- Transfers can be arranged from Dalaman airport. On arrival at the villas you will be shown Zeytin where there will be some basic provisions in the kitchen.
- All bed linen and bath towels are provided.
- There will also be an information pack to help you plan your holiday, and show you where the nearest shops are.
- The villa is tidied daily and bed linen and towels are changed weekly.
Food
Eating out is part of the enjoyment of a holiday at Zeytin: there is a good choice of restaurants serving inexpensive, authentic Turkish food, from the excellent lunchtime fare of pide (the Turkish equivalent to pizza) to riverside restaurants specialising in fish dishes. There are also a number of supermarkets that sell all the basics, and a few greengrocers. Most people stock up on fruit and veg at the market on Saturday (there is also a market at Koycegiz on Monday). For meals at the villa, there is an outside barbecue, and a four-ring gas cooker with full-size oven.
